Students learn how to start a business

An innovative workshop to create tomorrow's business leaders ‘Young entrepreneurs' development workshop' was organised at Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences (ANITS), Sangivalasa, on Wednesday for final-year B.Tech and MCA students. The programme was organised in association with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
Students from various engineering streams like electronics, electrical, mechanical, computer science, information technology and bio-technology participated in the workshop. The convener of Entrepreneurship
Development Cell at ANITS Prof. T. Appala Raju explained the importance entrepreneurship at the start of the workshop.
Various aspects like starting a business, legal structures, preparing a business plan, financial implications, developing a marketing plan and permits and licences were dealt with at the workshop.
Addressing the students, the Managing Director of CTC Communications A.S Prasad explained how young entrepreneurs can shift the country's status from developed index level to super index level.
The Principal of the college Prof. VSRK Prasad in his address opined that even if 5 per cent of the outgoing engineering graduates become entrepreneurs the total unemployment problem in the country could be solved.
Speaking on the occasion, the Project Coordinator of APITCO Ch. Saradhi said, “In the wake of the computer revolution and the boom of information technology, in particular on-line resources, have reduced many barriers and opened many opportunities for small businesses.
Social networking through mediums as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, and other avenues such as YouTube have created not only new ways to market products and services but also build a consumer community and customer loyalty”.
